Patience and God’s Word Series Sermon 10 Faith in His Will

Series:
Passage: Numbers 9:15-23
Service Type:

Patience.  Wow, do we not always like that word.  Frustration often voids our patience, and our flesh sometimes overrides our spirits when pain and hurt become the forefront of our focus.  Where are you right now in your walk with the Lord?  Do you feel like you are constantly moving and there is no rest?  Do you feel like you are going through the motions instead of enjoying God’s presence in your life?

Remember the Apostle Peter.  Remember how confident he was that he was going to endure to the end, then Jesus was killed.  Peter denied Him, then felt like his purpose in life was gone.  Even after Jesus rose from the dead, Peter had lost his confidence in himself, and that is right where Jesus wanted him.  Jesus wanted Peter to understand that faith in yourself will fail, but faith in Him would never cause you to fail.  Jesus was patient with Peter, and He loved him through even the hardest moment in Peter’s life.

What are you going through today?  Has God spoken to you a word and because of hardships in your life, you have felt like you lost that word?  Don’t give up.  Keep speaking and reminding yourself what God has spoken to you.  Keep remembering that God has not failed His people, and He never will.  Keep your confidence in Jesus first before yourself, and watch what He will do in your life.
