God has a special favor that He gives His beloved, His chosen people.  We have seen that favor at work in the Old Testament, but we now have a way through Jesus Christ being grafted in to receive the same great favor.  We, like David, must not take God’s favor for granted but stay humble in the knowledge that it is a gift from God.

The anointing of the Lord breaks yoke of bondage.  When Jesus came, He taught people that we need to be free spiritually.  It wasn’t about making Him a King to conquer the Romans.  It was about setting the captive sinner free from the devil.  It was about taking back the keys to death and hell so that we could live eternally with Him.

You are anointed through your faith in Jesus Christ; the more you are rooted in Him, the more you trust in Him despite the hard trials, the more the anointing will grow in your life.  You may not see the anointing working in someone’s life, but God does.  God is right now working on stony hearts and replacing them with hearts of flesh.  Right now.  He is working right now.

Don’t give up when the changes don’t happen right away.  Maybe you are wrestling with a sin that is holding you in bondage as well.  Being in bondage to sin and deception of the enemy sometimes takes years for a person to get set free from, but it is not impossible.  You can be free from any sin, any bondage.  Keep praying.  Keep trusting that the anointing is working in you.  Keep praying for the lost.

Receive Jesus as your Savior.  Be filled with the Holy Ghost, and the anointing will not only change your life, but also the lives of those around you.
