Have you ever felt like your spiritual life is awesome one day, but troubles of this life then make everything feel awful the next day?

There are times in our lives where we need a desperate rescue from Jesus, like the time the disciples thought they were going to drown in the Sea of Galilee.  Are we going to limit God because we don’t believe He will actually deliver us?  Do we really know Him as our Lord or are we thinking when we get delivered, oh, wow, I wasn’t sure if that was even possible for God.

That is limited thinking!  We look at our low finances or troubled relationships and often think, I hope God helps me.  I will pray about it, and if He does, then great.  That is not faith, that is wishful thinking.  Put your faith completely in Jesus, repent of limiting God in your heart and truly let Him be the LORD of your life.

The enemy spouts lies over and over again, but God’s TRUTH is all-powerful over any lie the enemy puts out.  Our position, our responsibility as Christians is to believe God’s Word over every lie of the enemy.  How easily we can be led astray by our flesh and wrong voices who may even mean well, but it is actually a lie the enemy wants to sow into your heart.

I can recall so many times in my life where I gave into those lies, where I listened to the wrong people and was led astray; I thank God that He brought me out of the darkness and revealed His truth to me before I fell deep into sin that leads to death which then leads to hell.  What a gracious and wonderful God we serve.
