You Reap What You Sow and FOS Series – Kindness

Passage: Luke 5:1-11
Service Type:

What are you reaping in your life right now?  Is it trouble after trouble?  Start sowing good to receive good.  Sometimes when you have sown for a long time, it can be discouraging when you don’t receive what is on your heart.  When this happens, take some time to listen to the Lord; read His Word, spend time with the body of believers.  God may have a blessing in store for you that the enemy is holding up and preventing you from receiving.

God’s Word works; receive His Word, and it will produce fruit in your life.

God sowed His Son Jesus into the world as a sacrifice for our sins, and now we have reaped eternal life.  Jesus has been blessed with us-we are His joy!  Imagine how much He loves you!

Have you ever noticed that kindness is hard to come by in this day and age?  When Jesus spoke that in the last days, the love of many will wax cold, that includes people being kind to one another; but even then, we as God’s children are to be different from the world.  We are to show lovingkindness and tender mercies in spite of the condition of the world.  Jesus has made us differently; we are born again and filled with His Spirit.  It is through Jesus that we live and move and have our being.  We are made new, transformed by the blood of the Lamb, renewed by His Word.

This is how we give out the fruit of the Spirit; this is how even when others are being hateful and bitter, we have the supernatural ability to show kindness.  That is how we love our enemies, through the supernatural power of Jesus Christ.
