Persecuted and Desire for Change

Passage: Matthew 3:1-3
Service Type:

Be a light.  Jesus came to be the Light; we are called to share the light He put in us.  We will be persecuted; we will be told we are wrong, but we must hold fast to the truth of the Gospel.  We must keep sharing the Gospel even if it costs us our lives.  Charlie Kirk’s life was taken by someone who hated the truth, but the truth will keep speaking.  Stephen was stoned because he spoke the truth, yet truth kept speaking.  We truly believe that many Pauls will rise up in this modern day just like God chose Paul even though he was a harsh persecutor of the Church.

No one likes to think of persecution, but it is real.  Maybe you get spoken evil of at work; maybe your children and family have rejected you; maybe you have a hard time with neighbors on all sides.  America does not face heavy persecution like other countries, but we can tell it is coming.  Pray for your children.  Pray for your church.  Pray for your enemies.  God will have His way on this earth; the devil cannot stop Him.

In order for change to happen, we must desire it; we must pray and seek the Lord for this change.  None of us have the supernatural power without the Holy Spirit to be transformed; our minds cannot be renewed without the Word of God.  Turn your heart to Him today; let your heart be pure.  Humble yourself before the Lord, and He will lift you up.  He will change you from the inside out.
