God Calls You and Sermon 7 The Power of Will
Maybe you are a teenager, an old man, the least in your family-you may hear a calling from God while you are doing your everyday normal activities. Look at the disciples, each one obeyed when Jesus said, “Follow Me.”
Whether you think you are worthy does not make a difference; it’s about His worth, and His sacrifice that makes you worthy. In fact, it would be better for you to know that you are not worthy without His grace and love. God will call you at His timing, not your timing. You might give the excuse that you aren’t ready or trained enough, or maybe you just don’t want to follow Him, but in your heart you know that He is calling you.
God knows will never force you to do His will; He will draw you with His love and reveal to you certain plans that you need to know about the future. Each one of us have the power to obey or disobey, to believe and not to believe. We are given free will; that means no matter what anyone does or says to you, in your heart you make the choice whether or not you are going to do it.
We follow God’s will because we know it is good, and we want to do what He wants, but not everyone does. Most people on earth would rather do their own will, not realizing that it will affect generations of their families. Selfishness has caused divisions for ages, but the love of God has united people from the beginning, no matter who we are.
It is time for you to make the decision in your own heart. Who will you follow?
