Follow Jesus and Final Sermon in Battling the Darkness Series
We as Christians have a responsibility to follow Jesus no matter what the enemy throws at us. It is crucial that we are sensitive to the Holy Spirit to listen and obey what God wants us to do; maybe we should go here or there. Maybe we need to wait. Maybe we should not go to a certain place at all. Are you aware of what the Spirit is telling you? Open your ears that they may hear what the Spirit is speaking to the churches.
Paul and Silas were beaten for their faith after following the leading of the Spirit to go to Macedonia; they could have given up when they were thrown into prison, but they didn’t! Instead, they sang praises to God and were filled with joy that God was with them even as they endured severe persecution. Because of this, an earthquake shook the jail open, but the prisoners stayed and the jailer got saved!
Whatever you are going through, choose to praise God in your best and worst circumstances.

These are green times; there is coming a time when the economy will not be good, and we will find ourselves wishing for these green times if we do not put our trust in the Lord. Prepare your heart, so that even as you go through the darkness, the Light will bring you joy and strength.
