Assemble Yourselves and In the Beginning
The days until Jesus’ return are shorter than ever before. We all feel in our hearts that it is getting close. Every time we are in His tangible presence, we hear Him say that He is coming soon.
The name of our ministry is Assemble Yourselves Together Ministries because we know the Holy Spirit was calling His people to assemble yourselves even more so as you see the day approaching. We see the day approaching; we know He is coming soon for His people. We gather together for several reasons: to encourage each other in the most holy faith through studying God’s Word and fellowship, to lift each other up in exhortation (encouragement), to remind each other what God’s Word says, to pray for those who are lost and hurting, and to be together in God’s life-changing presence.
We named our church that, but we know that gathering together means more than just the building. It means visiting each other, studying the Bible together, praying together, and visiting and encouraging those in nursing homes and hard to reach areas. That is our end day calling, not just here in Independence, Missouri, but in all of the world, in all of the Body of Christ.
These gatherings bring unity among believers; quite often we don’t agree on certain translations and various topics, but getting together with one another helps us see each other on the human level, face to face. We realize that we are facing the same struggles, going through the same challenges in ministry and in our families, all because we have chosen to serve the Almighty God and believe in Jesus as our Savior.
If you are isolated and alone because you don’t agree with certain denominations, repent and go where God is calling you; we are called to assemble, not to be alone. It will change your life in a powerful way, spiritually and physically.
We are starting a series called Faith, Authority & the Power of Prayer this week, and the title of the first sermon is called In the Beginning. We are walking through the story of Adam & Eve to help us understand where authority started, how it was lost to satan, and how Jesus got it back. We will be learning about how faith and authority are related and also how they influence your prayers to pray with power, not held back by doubt and unbelief.
